2016 Annual Report: Fortitude Published

Riga, Latvia, July 25, 2017, 08:29 / Banking

We hereby officially announce 2016 Annual Report: Fortitude is published. This year the topic of the issue is fortitude — due to ever-tighter regulation, and countless inspections by regulators and auditors, which the bank passed all well.

The cover of the issue stands for ABLV Group’s resources: human resources — our loyal and lasting employees, internal resources — fortitude, dedication and hard work, and financial resources which enabled us to reach profit of historical maximum in 2016 — EUR 79 million.

This year the issue contains 20 materials: interviews, articles, comments. The first three topics were traditionally developed by the top management of the bank: Chairman of the Board Ernests Bernis spoke about us handling the regulator’s pressure, and revealed our fortitude formula; Chairman of the Council Oļegs Fiļs shared his opinion on the new tax reform, while the Deputy Chairman of the Board Vadims Reinfelds described the changes in the field of compliance and their impact on the bank’s operation.

A large part of materials covers new or latest services offered by the bank, for example, our achievements in bond issues for the clients, our progress in trade financing and project financing. Also, in this issue we spoke about the products we have to offer for the children of our clients. As usually, the report provides also analytical articles about the situation in the economy and financial markets last year; and an interview with Leonīds Kiļs, Chairman of ABLV Asset Management, IPAS and ABLV Capital Markets, IBAS, about the latest events in the field of investments, as well as a large material on the progress in development of New Hanza and many others.

This year the annual report is available not only in print and .pdf but also in the interactive format in all three languages again. The digital annual report features an adaptive user interface which makes reading convenient whether you use your computer, tablet or smartphone.
