The Risk Committee of the international payment system VISA Europe confirmed that ABLV Bank Luxembourg has become a member of VISA Associate Membership. Consequently, now the bank will be able to offer payment cards on its own behalf — starting from debit cards and up to premium VISA Platinum and Infinite payment cards.

At the moment, the design of ABLV Bank Luxembourg payment cards is being elaborated, and other necessary technical preparatory works are being carried out, so that soon clients will be able to benefit from the advantages of payments cards and use additional services, which are now available to ABLV Bank clients. For instance, travel insurance policy and its coverage will be same as for clients in Riga, ensured by the insurance company Seesam.

In the early stage, Visa Gold and Visa Gold Business payments cards are going to be offered. ABLV Bank, AS will be a support bank (sponsor) as it has been a VISA Principal Member since the beginning of 2009.

ABLV Bank is one of the biggest VISA partners in the Baltics. The receipt of ‘Sponsor’ status is high assessment and confirmation of stability and reliability of ABLV Bank, confirmed by VISA Europe.
