For the eighth year in a row, in partnership with ABLV Bank, ABLV Charitable Foundation is organising a Christmas charitable campaign, in which ABLV Bank employees and clients as well as the general public, who wish to support the foundation’s objectives, is invited to make donations.

This year, the charitable campaign will take place from 1 - 31 December. You can donate funds to three programmes: “Let’s Help Them to Hear!”, “Let’s Help Them to Grow Up!”, as well as to the “New Riga” programme established this year, which will be implemented under the auspices of the “Urban Environment” operating field.

The objective of the “Let’s Help Them to Hear!” programme is to encourage the development and social integration of kids with hearing problems, presenting modern digital hearing aids to those kids whose families don’t have the required funds to buy these devices. Thanks to your enormous generosity during the 2013/2014 Christmas campaign, this year we have already been able to help 88 children. By way of comparison – during all the previous years in which the programme has been in operation – a total of 90 kids have received hearing aids presented by us. You can read a report here about our achievements to date under this programme. Until now, every year about 100 more Latvian children need hearing aids. Approximately EUR 2,000 is required to help a child.

Under the auspices of the “Let’s Help Them to Grow Up!” programme, we encourage the development and social integration of socially vulnerable kids, providing support to children from poor and impoverished families with a lot of children, their parents and to families at social risk so that they can attend developmental and educational camps throughout Latvia. This year, 1036 participants from all over Latvia gained new impressions and experiences by attending one of the 30 camps organised by the Foundation. Under the auspices of the “New Riga” programme, which is in the first year of its implementation under the auspices of the “Urban Environment” operating field, the Foundation attracts donations to support the establishment and functioning of the Contemporary Art Museum of Latvia, the establishment and landscaping of a part in the territory adjoining the Contemporary Art Museum of Latvia, as other important landscaping projects in central Riga, encouraging the formation of an aesthetic cultural environment and giving society the opportunity to live in a safe and orderly environment.

This year, in partnership with ABLV Bank, the Foundation will also add at least one euro to each euro received in donations during the campaign period (from 1 - 31 December) for the programmes "Let's Help Them to Hear!" and "Let's Help Them to Grow Up!".
